This November, I went to Kuala Lumpur with my cricket team. Along with us were also the hockey and the soccer team. We all went there to play some matches and have some team bonding. Well, this trip was very special for me as this was the first time i went overseas with only my friends. I was eagerly waiting for this trip as i knew we were going to have a great time there. The night before the trip, i kept on wondering what we would do when we reach Malaysia. On the day we were going to leave, we all were waiting in school for the bus to arrive. When the bus finally came, we all shouted, " WOOHOOOHOOO!" The time taken for the bus to reach Kuala Lumpur was about 6 to 7 hours. In that time we all had a blast. At first we played card games in the bus. Some of us listened to our mp3. Even the teachers joined us when we were playing the card games. In this time, we got to know about more a lot of people. Once we reached Kuala Lumpur, we rested for a while in the hotel. I was in the room with Siddarth and Hamza. We went to watch a hockey match after a while. Our school hockey team were playing with a Malaysian team. I was amazed by how the Malaysian hockey players played. They all were superb! But still out Victorians gave them a good fight but in the end they were victorious. The next day we left again and then we were heading to Penang. There we would be playing a total of 3 matches with the Penang Free School. The hotel in which we were staying was awesome! It was beside a beach. So we went to the beach to play. We used a plastic ball to play beach volleyball. We threw sand to each others body. One of my friends even put sand in my other friend's pants. The next day we had to be serious. We had a match with Penang Free School's team. When we reached their school, i was dumbfounded. The school was huge! We played a total of 3 games with them. Everyday we had 1 match. In total we won 2 matches and lost 1. So overall we were winners. We learnt a lot from them. The technique they used were very useful. we learnt a lot of things from them. We even made friends with them. Some of them added us on facebook. When we were not having any matches in Penang, we would be having fun. In the evenings the teachers will release us and we would go around for shopping or just relaxing. After a few days in Penang, we went back to Kuala Lumpur. We didn't have matches there. So the whole time there we were slacking and having fun. sometimes we went to the gym(the gym was huge!). Once we had a game of water polo. It was cricket vs hockey. although we tried out best we could not beat hockey. Nevertheless we had fun! Normally we would have to turn off the lights and sleep at 11 p.m. everynight. But on the last night we were allowed to stay up as long as we wanted. So we all gathered at our captain, Yusof's room. There we had fun and ate McDonalds. We watched a soccer match and after that we told each other some ghost stories(none were scary). In the end I feel asleep at that room. The whole trip has made me know a lot of people more and learn how Malaysians play cricket. This trip has also thaught me to not always be dependent on my parents. I have learnt to live alone. Hope I go for this kind of trips more!
